I love a great band in an intimate venue. Camera Obscura at Hailey's in Denton last year was unusually heavenly.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Something about the human eye not being able to focus on red and blue at the same time. I read it once when I was a kid and we never talked about it in the design world. But, we acknowledge when something "vibrates," meaning you can't focus on the edges visually, and it probably has something to do with the intensities of the reds and blues in what you're looking at.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
are other creatives: designers, writers, musicians, photographers.
For me, a first date no-no is:
Some dreadful Michael Bay movie and a trip to Chilis.
What I would bring to show and tell:
My cat. He's a jerk. But he's sooo adorable.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
The time a honey-baked ham got thrown at my car on the southside in Ft. Worth after a late night of interning. Or, about the pimp that tried to pick me up outside this intern spot. Or, about the car thief who was breaking into everyone's car at the intern spot while wearing a shower cap. Good god the southside is awful. Why do I love it so much??
