How about we… get a weirdly-themed cocktail at Apothéke.
How about we… pick up our cameras and take a subway tour of the city, exploring the architecture and secret stations.
How about we… Take our cameras and jump on the subway to Coney Island. Take photos all the way along the boardwalk until we get to Brighton Beach. Drink a vodka in Little Odessa.
Nashville, TN. Before I went there I thought I would hate it (I am.. not a fan of country music) but me and a friend stayed in a hostel, met great people and had an amazing time.
...varies. Sometimes I'll be at my happiest exploring the city (see my suggested trip) but hey, there's nothing wrong with sitting back and watching a good movie sometimes.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. But if we exclude me-as-a-child, it tend not to rewatch movies that much, even if I really liked them. I would like my answer to be either Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Darjeeling Limited. But I suspect the real answer is Anchorman or Dodgeball.
I grew up in the UK. Took a college exchange to British Columbia, Canada. Loved it, moved out there after graduating. Two years later, I moved to New York. I don't have much furniture.
Not my first concert, but I once went to see a band called British Sea Power that no-one has ever heard of before or since. Like most concerts, there was a support act. I still remember being sat at home with my friend debating whether we should leave, but we decided to skip the opening act and have another drink before we left. Turns out the opening act was a little known American band trying to break the UK called "The Killers". Yes, I turned down the opportunity to see The Killers in a 100-capacity venue.
A depressingly encyclopedic knowledge of the NYC subway system.
A bottle of coke I got from Coke World in Atlanta years ago, because I want someone to do a chemical analysis of it. How long does Coke last? Is the bottle going to explode? Will it burn my skin? Enquiring minds need to know.
Despite spending my days as a tech-develop-y type person, I went to college for (20th century) History and Politics, and still have a deep fascination with both. I'm a current affairs junkie, and I think my dream job is some kind of combination of web-tech-news-stuff. No, I don't know what that means, either.
Travel, a lot. I've explored North America and Western Europe but so far Asia and Eastern Europe have evaded me. I very much intend to change this (with or without lottery funding).
