An awesome place I've visited:

Valley of the Kings near Luxor in Egypt - they don't allow cameras which in retrospect I now think is pretty awesome. It's refreshing just to experience something without feeling the need to capture it.

East Coast born & raised, NYC for 7 years before making the move to LA and settling in Los Feliz. I'm a bit of an entertainment junkie - TV, movies, books, magazines, blogs - I consume way more than my fair share. For the past few years I have been on an adventure travel kick - my own quest to see the world one week vacation from a 9-5 job at a time. Oh and I also enjoy urban exploring - scoping out new bars, restaurants, that sort of thing.
