About skibum14

An awesome place I've visited:

Hmm...Norway or Scotland I'd say are the two best, outside of the US.

My perfect Sunday:

Skiing in the winter, climbing in the summer. Come home exhausted and then relax after grilling up some steak and/or prawns.

The movie I've watched the most times:

Off the top of my head: Dead Poets Society, Dumb and Dumber, V for Vendetta, or Tombstone.

My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:

Born in Louisiana (oddly enough), moved to RI when I was super young. Moved to Seattle in elementary school. Grew up reading and playing outside. Wanted to be a physicist before I realized that engineering was more my style. Went to school in NY, worked harder than I though possible, and took a job in Seattle so I could ski and climb a bit before going to grad school.

My first concert / My dream concert:

First Concert: Green Day - bleh. Not good at all. Saw Death Cab a few years later and my love of live music was cultivated. Dream concert: I have always wanted to see Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, but it almost never gets played live.

I have a weakness for guys/girls who:

Are sporty and nerdy.

For me, a first date no-no is:

Texting someone else.

I secretly want to be:

A ski and climbing bum. But I love engineering too much for that to happen long term.

I want to be with someone who wants to be:

the best at whatever it is she does. Art or business, writing or chemistry - it doesn't matter what it is as long as she's in love with it.

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:

Ski and climb for a year, go get my doctorate, and then start my own company. All of which I plan to do at some point anyway. Having money wouldn't change anything, but it would obviously make it easier.
