How about we… I propose a 3 date plan -- for those spontaneous and who thought the Academy Awards was boring! (Date 1) Meet for a drink or even coffee. Talk. Get to know each other. (Date 2) Think short term and have fun together. Do something neither of us would think we'd do. (Date 3) I make you dinner! I'm open to negotiation on the order, too. : )
How about we… We create two characters (one male, one female) and pretend to be these people for the first 15-30 minutes of the date, for coffee or wine or on a walk, where, in character, we weave in true things about ourselves, and many fictional items, too -- i.e. we improvise. After we revert to our real selves, we see if the other person can tell which facts are true and which aren't. A different type of first date.
How about we… play "truth or dare" while chewing gum, and taking a walk in Central Park. Just getting your attention. Seriously, coffee or wine -- and getting to know each other works equally as well.

Waking up with my (future) significant other and we read the paper together, get brunch (in or out) and spend time together doing nothing much -- and then whatever happens the rest of the day culminates in some TV/movie watching time at night together relaxing before the work week starts again.
These come to mind: Wizard of Oz (need my fix every few years), Field of Dreams, Beaches
I read a ton, and have lots of obscure facts in my brain. Mostly, these facts stay in the brain buried, but occasionally one comes out

Married and have a child (at least one) with me (in that order, of course), and ready to meet her best friend (me).
