Grew up in Portland, Oregon, went to brewing school in Chicago / Germany, moved to Kansas for a short stint of brewing (Not recommended), and recently moved to San Francisco to help my friend with a start-up.
My first concert / My dream concert:
While not my first, I saw The Hold Steady in Chicago of 2010, and one was of the best concerts I've ever been too.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Brewing beer, making mead, and distilling liquor. I turn water into alcohol. Sound familiar?
What I would bring to show and tell:
a mineral that my grandfather discovered and is named after my last name.
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Open up a meadery, travel to Belgium & New Zealand, possibly buy a small island, then give the rest to family friends, and animal shelters.
