Where I'd love to hear from you:
geoffrey78 - at - hotmail - dot - com zorro-aster on okcupid - dot - com
An awesome place I've visited:
My perfect Sunday:
a loooong time in bed, then coffee and words, then cooking, then a walk
The movie I've watched the most times:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Personally, I view rules as guidelines, and laws as rules. Easily amused, I find potential for humor almost everywhere. I'm creative, spiritual, and a good listener; I'm athletic and enjoy the outdoors; I'm intrigued by foreign languages and cultures; I enjoy good food, whether fine red wines, raw honey, rich desserts, or artisanal beers. I've experienced many adventures, having lived and traveled in Europe, Mexico, and mid-northern North America. I'm a professional violinist, beginning (though learning) jazz improviser, and rock and pop collaborator - I've performed with most orchestras in and around Philadelphia; I help talented, deserving musicians via my own company, exploring the business side of music; I'm a developing writer, both in content and copy, exploring ethnic and cultural identity via language, ancestry, and immigration.
My first concert / My dream concert:
Tom Waits, Sting, Yo Yo Ma, Pearl Jam, Lila Downs, Ween, Mark O'Connor, Edgar Meyer, Andrew Bird
Obscure knowledge I possess:
I can do the following, without a reference pitch: - tell you the frequency at which a ceiling fan or a car horn vibrates - figure out the key of a song on the radio - sing any given note within my range
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
I have a weakness for guys? Really? Maybe I'm gay
For me, a first date no-no is:
wearing a motorcycle helmet
What I would bring to show and tell:
my violin, a salt crystal from Death Valley, alebrijes from Oaxaca, my trusty waffle house coffee mug
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
Some of my hitchhiking experiences
I secretly want to be:
A cartoon voiceover artist, like Mel Blanc, or a photojournalist.
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
really interested in doing good, or learning, or making art - apathy is killing our world.
An infatuation of mine:
France, kind of love-hate dynamic
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Travel globally for a year or two on a motorcycle and play music in the squares of every country's major cities, making a documentary about it.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I want to come home to:
June Cleaver? Is this a 50s sitcom question?
