An awesome place I've visited:

Shackleford Island, amazing place to be out in nature and away from civilization on the Outer Banks. Camping out between the forest and the beach... it's hard to get much better than that, :-)

Born and raised in New England. Moved to NC about 16 years ago. I love my heritage, both here in the US and going back a few generations across the pond. History is very important to me, because without it you don't really know where you are, or where you are trying to get to.

Obscure knowledge I possess:

Ancient history and religions... I've studied them a lot.
