I was born and raised in Northern NJ (Manhattan suburbs), and I've been in the DC area for 20 years. I started in music at age 5 (with the accordion, I'm embarrassed to admit:), and music has always been a big part of my life. I received my undergraduate degree (a techie major) at Rutgers University, and my Masters degree from GWU. I have an older brother and younger sister and 7 nieces and nephews. I'm of Italian heritage, and have been to Italy 7 times since 2000. I also make it a point to visit Europe about once a year - my most recent trip being Germany in July 2012. I also slipped in a trip to Rio in December 2012). I feel like I am in the prime of my life.b
My first concert / My dream concert:
First concert: Eric Clapton (1983). Dream concert: Queen with Freddie Mercury (if we could bring Freddie back).
Obscure knowledge I possess:
I still remember Avagadro's Number for some incredibly strange reason.
