About moolena

An awesome place I've visited:

Climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania

My perfect Sunday:

Roller blading and reading in Central Park + a playful, lazy dinner with sangria and dessert

The movie I've watched the most times:

Before Sunset

My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:

Investment banker > Kiva Fellow that volunteered at microfinance institutions in Bosnia, Kenya and the Philippines > Social entrepreneur that started her own nonprofit in NYC > Failed (but inspired) entrepreneur that ran away to China for dumplings, meditation and adventure > Today. Still figuring things out. Applying for jobs. Working at a cafe. Cooking ginger cookies. Trying to find my next dream.

My first concert / My dream concert:

First concert: No Doubt, 1997.

Obscure knowledge I possess:

I speak Polish, I can say "butterfly" in fifteen languages, and I know far too many facts about whales and pirates.

I have a weakness for guys/girls who:

Take risks. Travel. Ask questions. Laugh.

For me, a first date no-no is:

Asking questions without listening to the answers.

What I would bring to show and tell:

My recently mangled finger. (Cut in an onion-chopping incident on the 4th of July)

A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:

Ask me about the time I went white water rafting on Class V rapids on the Nile in Uganda.

I secretly want to be:

enlightened.

An infatuation of mine:

Travel! So far I've lived in five countries and traveled to 26. Sometimes I need to just pack up my backpack and disappear.

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:

Fund new social ventures. Travel. Attend costume balls.

One thing my mother would want you to know about me:

As a child, I referred to myself as Milena the Great.

I want to come home to:

Fresh flowers. Fresh food. Fresh sheets. A freshly-washed man with good news and a smile.
