My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Was a wild child/screw-up when I was younger. Lucky to have had people who loved me enough to knock some sense into me. Learned the importance of self-respect and became an honest, straightforward, compassionate person. Now working towards a vision of more justice and equality in the world. BUT I am also a goofball, laid-back, spontaneous, and not at all as serious as this makes me sound :)
My first concert / My dream concert:
Remember those guys Evan and Jaron who sang the song "Crazy for This Girl" ("would you look at her as she looks at me/she's got me thinkin' about her constantly/but she don't know how I feel...") in 2001 or so? They're my cousins, so one of their concerts was my first.. haha.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Obscure? uhh.. I am a nearly infallible speller.. fairly knowledgeable about the Salvadoran civil war.. I know a fair amount about immigration law and know-your-rights stuff as it relates to immigration issues.. of course, that's obscure for many people, but not for me in my line of work.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
-have mohawks -have nice arms -speak Spanish (so I can talk to you in Spanish whenever I want!).. or else at least don't mind the occasional lapse into Spanish on my part -are un-awkward and easy to be around (duh) -are good kissers (duh) -are unpretentious -are confident without being cocky -are really appreciative of a great girl and know how to express that without being clingy or cheesy
For me, a first date no-no is:
-being too shy. This especially ensures you'll get friend-zoned, because while I'm a confident, outspoken girl, I've never been able to make the first move on guys. -talking nonstop -being cocky (again, different from confident) - not being interested in what I have to say -be yourself, be real, don't just tell me what you think i want to hear, and be relaxed!
What I would bring to show and tell:
just my hands.. one pinky is shorter than the other, lol.
An infatuation of mine:

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Road trip all over the US and travel to every Spanish-speaking country, plus Greece, Italy, and eastern Europe.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I am a horribly messy eater. Seriously. It's not a meal if half of it isn't on me. Anytime my mom finds out I'm dating someone new, she asks me if he's seen me eat yet.
