Born in Humboldt, raised in East Bay w/ a single mom and 3 sisters. Was going to be an actress, then went to culinary school. Lived & cooked in Italy, did food writing in SF, and have dug a niche for myself in culinary administration for some of the best restaurant groups in the country. Somewhere in there I've gotten married, became an aunt, divorced, and won a hot dog eating contest.
