For me, a first date no-no is:
If we are out to eat somewhere, having my date seem more interested in chatting it up with the waitress/waiter more than chatting it up with me. No movies on the first date either. How can you get to know someone while in a movie theater where you aren't supposed to talk?
What I would bring to show and tell:
Nothing. I'm not that big on showing off material things.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
I'd be bored and would have to fill my time traveling and doing touristy stuff. Does not include just laying on a beach. Too boring for me and I sunburn. But, I'd go golfing or to amusement parks and ride rollercoasters
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I get grumpy if I'm tired and hungry
I want to come home to:
not hearing "What's for dinner"? I heard that almost every day until my child went away to college.
