I grew up on the West Coast, splitting time between Seattle and the Bay Area, camping, hiking, and raising chickens for 4-H (and no, I didn't live on a farm). I lived in Brazil as an exchange student my junior year of high school and then decided to stay in WA for undergraduate work in linguistics. Ten years later after learning a lot about wine, food, rowing, and what I want out of life, and a little about bluegrass and salsa, I decided to give teaching a go. Now I am working on a Master's in Education and loving every minute of my life here in NYC.

My first concert / My dream concert:

I can't remember what my first concert was, but the best was Jack White at the Firefly Festival this summer.
