My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
I grew up in poverty to an unwed, drug-addicted mother. I was surrounded by gangs and violence. I knew that life wasn't for me. I joined the military, played by the rules, and now I'm soon to graduate with a PhD from Harvard. The American Dream is alive and well for those who want and work for it.
My first concert / My dream concert:
The Cure in New Orleans. They played for five hours.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
How to create experimental designs and analyze data in SPSS Syntax. MUDF: Movement Under Direct Fire. The most efficacious treatment for Axis II diagnoses. The most effective way to treat and stabilize a sucking chest wound in the field.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
Women who are smart and witty. Tall-ish and not prudish doesn't hurt either.
For me, a first date no-no is:
Assuming because I'm male I'm going to want to kiss/have sex with you.
What I would bring to show and tell:
My Grandfather's Bronze Star with Five Oak Leaf Clusters he earned in Korea, including the fighting at the Chosin Reservoir. I would use it as a symbol of Man's best and worst qualities.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
When my friend, at that time President of the U of M Evan's Scholars, passed out drunk at my apartment on the eve of having to give a speech to his benefactors.
I secretly want to be:
A rock star.

With me. Who accepts me for who I am. Who loves me for who I am. Not for who they think I can be become.
An infatuation of mine:

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Pay off my brother's mortgage and student debt, get my sister in school, and travel until I didn't feel like traveling anymore.
