How about we… go to the farmers market and get fruit to make dessert.. go back home and eat whatever I bake for you
How about we… go up to the Cloisters and have a picnic at Fort Tryon Park.
How about we… walk around the city and get to know each other
An awesome place I've visited:
MACHU PICCHU, PERU
My perfect Sunday:
sleeping in, homemade brunch/go out for brunch, afternoon reading/movie/t.v/concert/theater.. or an easy going day out walking through the flea market and exploring new places in the city. pretty much taking it easy.
The movie I've watched the most times:
Easy Rider!! hands down my favorite movie, I get goosebumps every time I watch it. My childhood favorite: Drop Dead Fred ( I'm a sucker for cheesy 80's movies, what can I say)
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Born and raised in NYC. Moved to South America (Ecuador) when I was 9 yrs. old and lived there until I was 22. Moved back to NYC to finish college. Been living in this crazy city for 7 years now and still in love with it.... (at least most of the time) However, I dream of traveling and living in other cities, you could say I'm a gypsy at heart. For now I am finishing up grad school and working with seniors of immigrant communities..
My first concert / My dream concert:
Dream concert: Bob Dylan and Nina Simone singing the blues
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Musicians and songs from the Golden Age of Arab Music Random historical facts about NYC
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
Are kind. Have a great smile and show it often. Unafraid of exploring new places, food, music, cultures... and like to read!
For me, a first date no-no is:
you on your phone all the time
What I would bring to show and tell:
I like to collect all sorts of stuff, so it would depend on my audience. Perhaps, my vinyl record collection, perhaps my old books, or my rock collection..
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
the bicycle story & The Major Deegan story
I secretly want to be:
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
someone that makes a change in this world, one small deed at a time.
An infatuation of mine:
Libraries and the smell of books that permeate the air. old books, actually books in general. music. movies. cats. and no I am not crazy cat lady, I only have one real cat but like cat stuff
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
not work and have time to finally watch all the movies I have wanted to, read all the books on my list, and travel the world and try all the food on this planet!
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I'm very kind and... I'm super clumsy.
I want to come home to:
a good record on, a special someone and his warm smile and my pet waiting to cuddle.
