How about we… take a San Francisco City Guides neighborhood walking tour
How about we… listen to hilarious storytellers at Porchlight.
How about we… escape the office and have a workday lunch in SOMA.
Next up on my travel list:
Probably Germany or Argentina. Any recommendations?
For fun, I like to:
write, read, watch indie/foreign films, attend lectures/readings, bike, dance, stroll, do yoga, do crafty/diy projects, help lost tourists, see live shows, quilt/sew, sing, travel, volunteer, wander through fabric/book/thrift shops
A few of my favorite things:
alphabetized lists, aquariums, autobiographies, beer on tap, brunch, comfort food, family, field trips, flea markets, hammond organs, indie rock, ice cream, languages, letterpress, libraries, literary fiction, memoir, mix tapes, non-fiction, nostalgia, npr, plants, puns, siestas, singer-songwriters, spicy food, stationery, storytelling, tea, wine
An awesome place I've visited:
My perfect Sunday:
hammond organ music at church, brunch somewhere yummy, a nap in the sun, bike ride, hanging out with friends, parks, ice cream, catching up on Hulu, reading in bed till late
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Grew up in a small town in the Midwest. Went to college in Southern Illinois. Moved to San Francisco after graduation. Have lived here almost a decade and love it.
My first concert / My dream concert:
First concert was Peter, Paul, and Mary with my mom. I was the only tween there. The people I've seen perform the most are Juliana Hatfield and TMBG. My favorite people to see live are Sufjan Stevens and Ben Folds.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
How to write and format an obituary, having had great practice while working at a newspaper
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
possess wit, creativity, and/or a way with words. I also love understated humor. It just kills me.
What I would bring to show and tell:
Garfield fan-fiction I wrote in second grade
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
How I paid for rent when I first moved to San Francisco. It involves the circus.
I secretly want to be:
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
better, happy, and content, all in their proper portions
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
live abroad, travel, do humanitarian/volunteer work, write the great American novel, make movies, take classes
