How about we… meet up with our cameras and take pictures of a specific San Diego neighborhood...
How about we… meet in Pacific Beach for a walk on the boardwalk or a cup of tea and chat about a Brian McLaren book...
An awesome place I've visited:
Morocco - hence the pic of me with the smiling camel!
My perfect Sunday:
My day would include rest and some fun/active outing with family or friends and most often church as well...or be part of a weekend adventure - small or large, urban or focused on enjoying nature!
The movie I've watched the most times:
This is embarrassing. I have watched movies that come on TV with some mix of romance and comedy a lot, including Legally Blond, The Proposal, Sweet Home Alabama, Miss Congeniality, Pride and Prejudice, Fools Rush In, You've Got Mail, and Because I Said So. Not necessarily my favorites, but I find them light, sweet, and comforting.
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
I grew up in San Diego; lived in Santa Barbara, Tucson, and Seville during college; spent one year in both Brazil and Seattle after college and then 15 years in DC; and recently came back "home" to San Diego. My work has focused on education and work with under-served populations. My Christian faith is a foundational part of my life but isn't super traditional. I love people, traveling, learning, and growing!
My first concert / My dream concert:
I like concerts with good dancing/ entertainment. I would have loved to see the Michael Jackson "This is It" concert (from what I saw in the movie). Beyonce and U2 are two others I think I would love to see.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
dance and enjoy people/life
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
I fainted earlier this month, as my blood pressure drops around medical stuff...
I secretly want to be:
on Dancing with the Stars...but I'm not a star and the public aspect of the experience would freak me out. I just want the dancing part...and the fun costumes!
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
part of making the world a better place, a teammate, growing and learning throughout life
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Travel, invest, share my money with others, splurge on a few things but not in a crazy way, enjoy the luxury of having options and not needing to work for money.
