Want 'em someday
5' 8"
How about we… do something fun and intelligence-enhancing.
Uganda, Whistler during the summer (think: snowboarding in a t-shirt weather), India, Australian, New Zealand....I like Mexico a bunch; Jamaica was fun, too, but I was not mature enough at the time to appreciate it. I like traveling. I've never been to Europe, though. Something about how familiar European-ness is here in the U.S. that has contributed to my lack of travel in that region. But I'd like to go to Scotland, Italy, Spain, and Crete, someday.
Sleep...get all errands done for the upcoming week...and then have fun. Yoga, coffee with friends (or by myself with the newspaper), catch up on phone calls to family and friends, clean house, finish the day with either an interesting book in bed or snuggled up in blankets in front of an engaging and informative (or merely entertaining) movie.
Chinatown
Not quite ready to commit that info to this website... But, I've had a lot of crazy roommate situations over the years. Perhaps an interesting first date story that I'd tell would be one relating to situations with the handful of nuts-o's that I've lived with or rented from.
First concert: A boy band (?), perhaps Blink 182. Dream concert: Classic rock, outdoor arena in a section without seats, dancing, nighttime, and happiness. Probably Bridge School Benefit at Shoreline. Since we're talking about dreams here, I'll throw in the details that I'd like to attend this concert engulfed in the arms of a lover and in the company of my sister and her family, perhaps also some friends from my hometown, too.
Make me laugh and want me to make them laugh. Even that, though, gets old. I really have a weakness (friends and lovers) for people that I can learn from -- the capability of facilitating intellectual and personal growth in another is an awesome attribute for one to have.
Receiving gross and presumptuous sexual comments. Boring, insecure, and/or dumb company. Penny pinchers to an unreasonable extent.
Probably some kind of rock that I found while playing outdoors. Or, something stupid that I paid 25 cents for just because, in the toy-dispensing machine at a restaurant that I hypothetically visited, I had high hopes for getting something valuable encased in a plastic egg-shaped container.
A good dancer...especially w.r.t. the types of dance that require a lot of coordination with a partner (e.g., ballroom, tango, flamenco; not the coordination that's required for the down-and-dirty type -- though it'd be awesome to be good at that, too).
A hardworking, responsible, respectable, and happy husband and father. I come from a family of go-getters, so I like the idea of being with someone that has dreams, follows them, and takes steps (including risks) to fulfill them. Average is not in my wish-list of qualities for a man.
Buy and operate some awesome lab techy machines, support research of my own and that of friends; donate more than I keep (ideally, I'd do that, and it'd probably be to some kind of animal organization or some kind of foundation that empowers poor, uneducated areas in central/east africa to specifically help with agricultural sufficiency); try, for the first time, my luck in the stock market; move someplace where I can kayak and sit out on a dock and be close to my family as well as places to snowboard and swim in the (Pacific, or a similarly at lat. ~40F cold) Ocean, get a stylist to help me fill out a closet with nice clothes that flatter my body, and probably help with the down payment of my sister's and brother-in-law's new home.
A happy, welcoming home. I like my cats, so I'd like them to be there, too. I like homes that have big windows, good ventilation, and ideally, a lot of beautiful views. Spacious, simple, and streamlined are also preferred.
