How about we… go to a figure drawing group or draw at the met and pretend that we go way back and it's not actually a date, so we don't get anxious.

I have more ability to identify plants than average (but.. not an expert by any means.) Also, I listen to a lot of podcasts and public radio, which I generally only remember bits of but try, in conversation, to make whole stories out of..
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
- are nerdy and/or artsy but not too pretentious or sarcastic. - aren't fashionistas and/or don't mind that I'm not - also I'm interested in platonic dates too (is "platonic date" an oxymoron? hope not..)
For me, a first date no-no is:
spending a lot of time talking about ex-es. giving me the "you're a weirdo" look. not in that order
I secretly want to be:
a licensed ham radio operator

themselves, usually, or.. at least on their better days.
