My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Born in Brooklyn NY which somehow was the wrong coast for me; college at 16, got a degree in film (though I wanted to major in theater); moved to Seattle by 19. Wrote and published first two books in twenties; also worked as a writer, editor and graphic designer. Did community theater; studied guitar, acting and voice; became a fulltime musician in 2005. Married at 24, divorced at 35; a good experience and still very close friends with ex-husband. Had a difficult ("learning") relationship from 36-43. Healed
My first concert / My dream concert:
My first concert was in college--Tom Petty. My dream concert at this point would be Jackson Browne and James Taylor who I've never seen and always wanted to.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Bad synthetic ingredients in household, skin and hair care products.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
have blue or green eyes and a great smile/laugh/voice, who are quietly assured, who are relaxed and yet energetic, who are really smart, who care deeply about the planet, who walk their talk, who appreciate the little things, who are not cynical, who can laugh at themselves, who write well.
For me, a first date no-no is:
Talking about yourself ENDLESSLY and not asking questions.
I secretly want to be:
an amazing Broadway singer and actress + philanthropist/humanitarian.
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
kind, compassionate, healthy, engaged in the world, the best human they can be, a gift to the world.
An infatuation of mine:
Glee. :)
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
have a lot of fun figuring out which environmental and social justice nonprofits to share the wealth with. I would travel the world figuring it out.
