My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Born in Montana to Atheist intellectuals from Omaha. Raised in NJ near Philadelphia with strong Irish-Italian Catholic culture College and the rest of my adult life in NYC except for the 2 years I lived in Paris, 3 months in Israel, 1 month in Mexico, many trips other places.... I seem like a humorless, earnest do-gooder on paper but that's all crap. I discovered a talent for improv (and name-dropping) during a couple workshops with alan arkin
My first concert / My dream concert:
Stevie Nicks in 8th grade while my friend's mom and aunt smoked weed behind us. I think maybe the concert was their idea...
Obscure knowledge I possess:
How to play the Czechoslovakian version of the card game Tarocky. I have several decks if you want to learn.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
are interested (as opposed to interesting). Have accents. smell good. Can build and fix stuff. Enjoy creatures of all kinds.
For me, a first date no-no is:
technology interruptus. If you break into a cold sweat at the thought of 10 minutes of undivided attention, you're too ADD for me.
What I would bring to show and tell:
My brother. He's hilarious. I owe my sense of humor to him.
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
End up spending it all to bail out my poor relations. I'm good with money and make plenty, but was raised out of the Johnson School of Finance, a venerated institution who has schooled many generations of my family with the motto: "If you don't have any money, they can't take it away from you".
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
she's dead, alright? she has no ability to want you to know anything about me. however I had an awesome dream that she won an oscar and was on the red carpet in an amazing swank dress. That was fun. Oh if she were alive she probably would want you to know that I'm kind to animals.
I want to come home to:
the smell of food.
