How about we… Get outdoors and go somewhere/do something active neither of us has done before...hike? bike?
An awesome place I've visited:
The Grand Tetons. Hike, then visit the information center afterwards and look up pics in the scat book to identify who was watching you jingle the bear bells along the trail.
My perfect Sunday:
A long paddle in the sunshine, followed by a big coffee, enjoyed on the benches outside the Starbucks on the Embarcadero (you can't see the back side of this SB from the street/880, but the benches look out on the estuary and the back side of Coast Guard Island. On a pleasant day, with friends, it's just lovely).
The movie I've watched the most times:
Hmmm...probably a tie between The American President and The Big Country (oldie with Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston and bunches of other people.)
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
I'm a late bloomer. Exited college thinking I knew what I wanted to do, then backtracked and started over. Traveled/volunteered in Europe, pressed espresso, worked in a bakery, staffed a circulation desk at a library, shoveled snow and cleaned houses at Sugar Bowl and finally began teaching at 30. Still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I'm narrowing the options...
My first concert / My dream concert:
Bluegrass in a small, indoor venue.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
Are witty, somewhat sarcastic, knowledgeable, curious, active and honest.
For me, a first date no-no is:
What I would bring to show and tell:
I secretly want to be:
Someone who writes like Andre Dubus or Joanne Kingsolver.
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
A work in progress.
An infatuation of mine:
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Give half of it away and work at Arizmendi for the camaraderie and the cheese scones.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I want to come home to:
Someone who wants me to come home to him.
