About Zing

An awesome place I've visited:

No Malice Palace. Tolani. Bubble Lounge.

My perfect Sunday:

Sleep. Maybe walk around. Do what I damn please.

My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:

Raised in N.J. Educated in Boston. Built a career as a writer, editor, host, lifestyle expert, and creative consultant. Self employed, living in Manhattan, happy as a clam.

My first concert / My dream concert:

I think it was Don Henley. Someone had tickets.

Obscure knowledge I possess:

That real-hair wigs are less natural looking than synthetic. Common misconception. (I worked for a wig company for a spell.)

I have a weakness for guys/girls who:

Take the lead.

For me, a first date no-no is:

Being late. When I'm waiting for a dude, I start to wonder why I'm there, if I should be there...it's a bad path to go down.

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:

See, here's the thing. I have anxiety about lotteries. I won't enter and I won't win, and I don't care. Having that much unearned money in my hands would make me miserable. I know it. It would kill my motivation, make me paranoid, and probably depressed. But if I somehow came into a lot of money, I'd do what I do--but more selectively, on my time, and I'd also eat sushi five nights a week and have an amazing wardrobe, and more than 350 sq feet to my name.

One thing my mother would want you to know about me:

That while I've crafted a fairly tough exterior, I'm quite sensitive on the inside.

I want to come home to:

My sweet little studio, my tuxedo cat, my 50" flatscreen, good books. I love being home--and the fact that I travel a lot makes me cherish it that much more.
