I grew up in Virginia and came to Tucson for high school. I have been here ever since, and I have received all my higher education at the U of A. I have M.A. degrees in Russian studies and Library Science. I measure the quality of my life in the number of books I have had the fortune to read. Even the physical places I have visited are often filtered through my readings.

Obscure knowledge I possess:

I am fluent in Russian. I don't know that this is very obscure, but it seems like relatively few people can do this, and the fact that it is a skill in demand has allowed me to have a successful translation business. More esoterically, I love the poetry of N. A. Nekrasov. When I have the time, I would love to try translating it into English since most of it has never been translated before.
