How about we… see who is the better bowler and then let the loser win at PacMan.
How about we… Go beer tasting.
How about we… Check out that art walk/food truck night downtown.
How does this work without paying?
Okay, this is weird. Suddenly I am able to send messages, despite not paying. But in my euphoria, I forgot that *you* still can't read my messages if you don't pay! So... if I send you a message (but ONLY if I send you a message, or indicate that I'm interested or like a picture, or some such), reach out to me directly at: sidkoala at gmail dot com.
An awesome place I've visited:
My perfect Sunday:
Lounge in bed; walk the dogs to a local cafe for breakfast; when the sun is high, take a nap!; make a nice dinner and eat it; curl up on the couch and watch a movie with you; go to bed early. Sundays are for bed.
The movie I've watched the most times:
The English Patient, Star Wars
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Upstate NY (will always be home to me), SoFla (ew), college in Chicago, masters in Baltimore, cool career in DC and NYC, domesticated in Glendale/Pasadena. Now undomesticated, walking dogs and taking care of cats and bunnies, and looking to enjoy LA a little more than I have so far.
My first concert / My dream concert:
First: Thompson Twins/Howard Jones!
Obscure knowledge I possess:
The epidemiology and etiology of youth violence.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
are smart, clever, unorthodox, kind, compassionate, affectionate, thoughtful, and committed (willing to work on themselves and the relationship; don't just disappear when it gets hard).
For me, a first date no-no is:
Answering your cell phone, unless it's your kid calling.
What I would bring to show and tell:
One of my impossibly adorable and sweet dogs.
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
a good person - doesn't hurt spiders or people.
An infatuation of mine:
Lots of smells, like that of good food emanating from the back of a restaurant, a good bakery, bergamot, rosemary, gardenia, and puppies' ears!
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Travel all over the world first, then buy a little working farm (yogurt and cheese making maybe?) in the Hudson Valley, and maybe a working vineyard in Napa, unless I find other, better places to get my fill of wine and cheese while I'm travelling the world. Anyway, then I'd split my time between the two, and I'd start a philanthropy as well.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I'm not as well-behaved as I look.
I want to come home to:
Happy dogs without something ripped up at their feet.
