Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I spent most of my time reading comic books, drawing, and playing guitar. Went to NYU for animation, then moved to Brooklyn for a year to finish up the whole "Guy in five bands at once" gig. Then I got a scholarship to law school and moved to DC for three years. Now that I'm out, I've moved to L.A. to write.
My first real concert (i.e., not with my parents) was Less Than Jake (New Found Glory and The Impossibles opened). Yeah, I was one of those ska kids. Still get excited when I find out a band has a brass section.
Comic books. Like whoa.
