How about we… hit the Art Institute. I have a membership card, we'll get in for free. Let's discuss art and the impending zombie apocalypse as we stroll through the hallways. Afterwards grab a drink and make fun of people taking pictures around the Bean.
How about we… walk around and choose a place to eat that neither have us have been before. Afterwards head to a comic book store and then gab over which hero is truly heroic over a drink or two.
An awesome place I've visited:
The dreamscape, no physical place can compare what's in the mind. BUT a great place I've visited was across the ocean - Barcelona, Spain.
My perfect Sunday:
Rehearse with the comedy troupe I'm in, grab a quick lunch before bowling or going to a movie. End the night with karaoke at either Hamburger Mary's or Cafe Bong.
The movie I've watched the most times:
Aliens, Clue, Gosford Park
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
I've been journaling for over 23 years. Started grad school in July and this is the renaissance I need for my life - a Masters in Library and Information Sciences. I'm lucky to have a wonderful family and a great circle of friends all involved in the arts. Bold choices are necessary.
My first concert / My dream concert:
The day before I started college, I saw U2 on their Achtung Baby tour. Wow and whoa.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
I've been collecting comic books for just about 30 years, so I know a thing or two.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
Guys who have manners thrill me to no end. Also if you have a great sense of humor, we're bound to get along.
For me, a first date no-no is:
If you're quiet or too shy, we won't get along.
What I would bring to show and tell:
A poem of mine to tell. For showing I'd bring a 1000 piece puzzle that I framed years ago. It has one piece missing.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
How I became the most popular kid in school in my early 30s.
I secretly want to be:
By your side.
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
By my side.
An infatuation of mine:
Filling my apartment with tons of bamboo plants.
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Give a chunk of it to my parents and ask Dad's advice where to invest.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I'm on time and won't let you down.
I want to come home to:
Your open arms with a smile that melts me every single time.
