An awesome place I've visited:
Whitewater rafting down the Grand Canyon. It's a huge physical challenge, the geology and history is incredible, and I've met some of the most amazing and memory people down there.
The movie I've watched the most times:
I watched the Wizard of Oz so many times when I was young that might still dominate the charts, a close second would be Dead Poet's Society
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Spent my formative years 30 mins Northeast of Philly in a stereotypical suburban town, across the street from Starbucks. Went to school in Philly, learned a few things, started two companies, decided to go in search of a bigger pond and ended up in Brooklyn. Now working in Soho I enjoy running, bourbon and brightly colored socks. Huge fan of classic lit, all things small business, really good food, and genuine people.
My first concert / My dream concert:
My first concert was Less Than Jake and my dream concert would have been Queen at Wembley Stadium.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
Plumbing and electrical wiring...
For me, a first date no-no is:
Mass stories of woe, or how horrid your friend is, or that this girl at work with the snaggle tooth and funky breathe is taking all your post-it notes.
What I would bring to show and tell:
I have a wooden elephant with three legs and one tusk that this impromptu street tour guide in Rotan made for me out of a local variety of tree I'd never heard of. That's when I first learned lime in beer was used to keep the bugs out.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
My third day in NYC...
