How about we… Talk over coffee, tea or other (non-alcoholic to start) beverage of choice about our favorite movies and books, hopes, dreams and failures until we lose ourselves and realize that it's time to eat dinner.
An awesome place I've visited:
Mont St. Michel, in northern France. A huge monastery on a tiny island that is only reachable at low tide...it's a breathtaking sight.
My perfect Sunday:
Rising early, or early enough to clean house, do the laundry and take care of all the errands before noon so that I can rest and relax for the rest of the day, no matter how I choose to do so.
The movie I've watched the most times:
Too many to choose from. Seriously...TOO many.
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
Born into the middle class with a below-average childhood as the result of losing a parent. Told that I could be anything I wanted, so long as I wanted it enough. Well educated academically, poorly educated socially, and thrust upon the world. Then I joined the Air Force.
My first concert / My dream concert:
2002. Summer. I was 14 and I got to see my favorite band, The Eagles, in concert for the first time. There was no fancy intro, no stupid band opening for them. The lights came on, they played, and it was spectacular. I still have the t-shirt.
Obscure knowledge I possess:
This could go on for several pages. I know a little bit about everything.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
Are nerdy, homely, taller than me, red-haired and/or mechanically inclined.
For me, a first date no-no is:
Anything beyond third base.
What I would bring to show and tell:
Probably a favorite book of mine, and explain what it is that draws me to the story.
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
About my first ride in a Lotus Elise.
I secretly want to be:
An Automotive Journalist. Not so secret now, eh?
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
Part of a family someday, but has other ambitions as well.
An infatuation of mine:
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
Invest half of it straightaway, so I would always be rich. Buy a really nice house and some land back in Kentucky. Spend some money on my family and friends, make sure they're taken care of. And then...buy some cars and race at every major track in the world.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
She...wouldn't. She really wouldn't.
I want to come home to:
A comfortable chair, a cold beer, and 10-15 minutes of reflective silence.
