My family's from the north, but I've lived most of my life in the south. I'm a nerdy, artsy-fartsy type with one dog and one cat. I'm doubtful an entire history can be told in 5 sentences!

Obscure knowledge I possess:

I like quantum physics, it interests me. Thanks to my job, I can tell you all sorts of random information about diamonds and gemstones.

I have a weakness for guys/girls who:

are kind and honest. You can be the hottest guy in the world, but if you act like a jerk, I won't even see it. You can be the ugliest guy in the world but if you're sweet and we get along, I'll fall for you.

For me, a first date no-no is:

moving too fast. If I just met you, I'm probably still deciding if I want to call you back, not if we should name our first child Margaret. :/

What I would bring to show and tell:

This might be nerdy of me, but probably a piece of alexandrite jewelry. The stones change color! how cool is that.

If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:

I'm actually not sure I would quit my job, because I love it. However, I would probably go ahead and buy a house, I feel like having a rent payment is a waste of money, even having a mortgage payment is at least putting down equity. I would invest a lot of it in interest-bearing accounts (to live off interest) or in real estate properties to rent out. And then I'd see how much I had left to have frivolous fun with.
