How about we… grab some art supplies and make art in the park.
How about we… wander Chinatown and try new, exotic foods-- it's almost lychee season!
How about we… sign up for a silversmithing or pottery class.
An awesome place I've visited:
Taipei, where I lived for 5 1/2 months making puppets and parades, teaching kids and performing at local restaurants.
My perfect Sunday:
Picnic in the park with friends and a kickball. Curling up on the couch with a good movie.
The movie I've watched the most times:
Nightmare Before Christmas, Follow That Bird, Sound of Music-- I couldn't just list one!
My life history in 5 sentences or fewer:
World-travelled puppeteer and teacher transplanted from the suburbs to the city. I was raised a tomboy and girly girl with strong southern roots and Yankee ties. I'm a curvy girl, but I'm not inactive-- a good balance of high energy and calm relaxation.
My first concert / My dream concert:
First: Busta Rhymes at Uconn Spring Weekend. Best concert: Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals Dream: Otis Redding
Obscure knowledge I possess:
I have a great sensory memory- I remember sounds, smells and images in extreme detail, even from a young age.
I have a weakness for guys/girls who:
are creative and/or artistic.
For me, a first date no-no is:
going somewhere we can't hear each other, like a concert. Also, awkward and uninvited sexual advances. You'll know when it's the right time for that
What I would bring to show and tell:
Puppets and/or artwork I've made
A story you should remind me to tell you on our first date:
How a student saved me from a group of gang bangers from within their ranks
I secretly want to be:
I want to be with someone who wants to be:
Able to laugh often and pursue a life of happiness. Focused enough to attain their goals in personal, career and education categories. Willing to help the world or make a difference someday.
An infatuation of mine:
Music and cultures of almost all kinds
If I won the lottery and quit my job, I would:
would open my own theatre and/or community arts center.
One thing my mother would want you to know about me:
I love and commit with all my heart and have to be reminded to take care of myself sometimes. I got all of my recipes from my mom and can burn with the best of 'em!
I want to come home to:
A peaceful place without drama and an exciting relationship that is often refreshed and healthy.
