How about we… drink some red wine or whiskey and go to a Star Wars trivia night.
How about we… Find a bar where we can do a whiskey tasting.
How about we… Have some whiskey and go dancing at Soul Night.
How about we… drink whiskey.
How about we… drink a quart of rot-gut whiskey, smoke a pack of cigarettes, listen to the Clash and @#$% lightning all over town.
How about we… Walk the Williamsburg waterfront and then hit a dive bar for some whiskey.
How about we… shuffleboard at The Whiskey Brooklyn.
How about we… Go to Longman and Eagle and try their whiskey flights.
How about we… Wet our Whiskey tastebuds up @ The Alembic!
How about we… go see the dinos exhibit at the natural history museum, then grab a whiskey at seven grand.

I was born and raised in NYC, so I've seen and done a lot around here. Suggestions below are, for the most part, activities I haven’t yet tried but would love to experience. Drop me a line if any of them are of interest to you. 1) Check out Sunday Night Film Club at The Crosby Hotel http://www.firmdale.com/index.php?page_id=31&sub_page_id=161©_page_id=588 2) Have a drink on the private rooftop garden at the Surrey Hotel http://www.luxist.com/2010/06/03/the-surrey-hotel-debuts-a-rooftop-english-garden/ 3) ride the new thrill rides (including Steeplechase) at Coney Island's Luna Park (http://www.lunaparknyc.com/) then grab beer and pizza at either (or both) of NYC's arguably best pizza restaurants - totonnos/L&B Spumoni Gardens) 4) Check out a spa castle (5 floors of Korean massages, saunas and pools) - http://nyspacastle.com/eng/main/main.php 5) Take a Zipcar and drive up to Walkway Over the Hudson (former railroad bridge spanning the Hudson that has been transformed into one of the longest pedestrian bridges with magnificent views of the Hudson River) http://www.walkway.org/ - could also be combined with drive up to Bard College (beautiful campus, concerts, etc) 6) Hasid Meets Hipster Meets Girdle Store – start off with a quick walk around the Lower East Side (Donut Plant, pickle store, girdle store of your choice) then over the Williamsburg Bridge to explore Williamsburg (Hasid and Hipster sides) 7) Behind the Scenes Tour of Yankee Stadium or Citi Field 8) Take a Zipcar and drive up to Hunter Mountain for their new Zipline adventure (http://www.huntermtn.com/huntermtn/summer-activities/zipline.aspx) 9) Take Metro-North to New Canaan to see Philip Johnson’s Glass House 10) Explore Old Westbury Gardens http://www.oldwestburygardens.org/ 11) Zipcar out to Atlantic City for the day 12) ping pong and drinks at www.spinyc.com 13) Walk the newly opened Section 2 of the Highline and then check out Beer Parc and Grimaldis in Limelight Marketplace 14) see Luis Gispert's Decepcion at Mary Boone Gallery http://www.maryboonegallery.com/ 15) Enjoy a cocktail at XVI rooftop lounge in midtown - www.xviny.com 16) Check out the Greenwich Village Country Club - a "caddyshack" inspired playground complete with indoor mini-golf course (on top of Bowlmor Union Square) 17) Check out the Ipad based cocktail ordering system at Gowanus, Brooklyn cocktail emporium Whiskey, Tango Foxtrot - wtf-brooklyn.com 18) grab a drink in the East Village (Death & Company, PDT or The Summit Bar)
a starving Russian author staring down the streets looking for ideas, while sitting in a cafe' smoking cigarettes and drinking whiskey or a Super Government Agent vis a vis Jack Bauer (From 24)
I was born in Jersey. Studied film, so I could learn about movies instead of the boring stuff. Inherited a jukebox and a passion for cross-country road trips. Developed an affinity for whiskey and grilled cheese. Now I enjoy learning about the boring stuff.
I was raised in two countries. You probably won't get me to go skydiving but would completely be up for whitewater rafting in Austria or rappelling down a waterfall in Costa Rica. Notice the water theme. I love food, books, capoeira, rugby, whiskey and chocolate. One day I'm going to be an awesome surfer.
a painter, or a chef, or a professional eater, whiskey tester...? head of emerging technologies at Nerf
Young-blooded old-soul. Insatiably curious. Fiercely committed to keeping my friends guessing as to what's coming next. I'm always inviting friends to see if they want to visit the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met, destroy the skeeball competition at Full Circle Bar, or go to a whiskey tasting at Brandy Library. I'm a total vocab nerd. I've never let a day go by without actively trying to learn something new (except for June 7th, 1995... I totally flubbed it that day).
whiskey. that way everybody else's show and tell would be much more interesting.
My first real concert (i.e. not just some friend's band at a coffee shop or the Whiskey) was Korn and Rob Zombie. Don't judge, it was 1998 or something! I love going to live shows but don't do it as often as I'd like. Last couple shows I saw were Danko Jones at the Troubadour, and Dirty Projectors at the Wiltern, both really good shows.
Brooklyn. Whiskey. Coffee. Words. Family.
Born and bred in New Jersey (don't hold it against me). Moved to California for school and didn't look back. Loved the constant surprises of living in San Francisco, an adventure around every corner. Equally happy sipping bourbon at a new whiskey bar or making dinner and watching a movie at home. I just moved across the country for a new job at Etsy -- now I'm ready to explore Brooklyn and beyond.
