Oh, you have no idea. I am a walking sleeve of Trivial Pursuit. I seem to have an uncanny ability to find the new unusual spots before the rest of civilization discovers it. It's more fun that way.
I know the List of unusual and ironic deaths from the Wikipedia website.
My job allows me to visit many unusual places that normally others don't have the chance to, and I'm very grateful for the chance to explore the many different cultures....I've been to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Narita, Sydney, Cairns, Dubai, Brazil and just about everywhere in Europe with a military base!
My handwriting is unusually small

Giant's Causeway, Ireland. Nearly indescribable. Nearly. More recently, Thanksgiving in Hawaii. Hanauma Bay is stunningly beautiful. There's also something about watching the sun sink into the ocean at sunset. (There must be, as I now have countless photos of just that scene.) Locally, I've had the opportunity to get into both the Woolworth Building and 5 Beekman St / aka Temple Court. Amazing experience. As was the abandoned City Hall station at the end of the 6 subway line. (I am a big fan of unusual NYC sites & history.)
Off beat/ quirky facts about New York history. It goes beyond infatuation. Gaining access to unusual or normally inaccessible sites here in New York. The Museum of the City of NY & the online archive of the NYPL offer vast arrays of old photos to get lost in. I volunteer with Open House New York (ohny.org).
Grew up in Ohio, then moved to Baltimore, then moved to Brooklyn. Sucker for unusual dates, whether they be simple or exciting. Love photography, travel, education, and healthy does of sarcasm.
