The tops of many trees. Few things are better than a fantastic tree climb.
I grew up on a horse farm in the middle of nowhere - lots of blackberry picking, tree-climbing, building forts and canoeing. I fell in love with France at 15 and have since lived there twice. After college I moved directly to NYC to follow my passions for art, food, culture and city adventures. I have worked in nonprofit development, marketing and design for various organizations and am currently head of fundraising for a provider of free civil legal services to low-income New Yorkers.
mountain boarding and technical tree climbing skills; I taught woodshop and coached fencing (sword fighting)

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge in Tanzania. I stayed there for 5 nights. It was amazing. Elephants in my backyard. I even had my own Masai warrior to keep me safe from the tree climbing lions.
Graduated with honors from the University of Running Barefoot through the Woods in upstate New York with a degree in tree climbing (and a minor in popsicle eating). Journeyed to Brooklyn following a betrothal graphic design; became hopelessly entangled in a torrid love affair with photography; settled down to an open relationship arrangement with the two. Built a house of curiosity and raised healthy twins of wonder and adventure. Was diagnosed with a tragically incurable wanderlust. Now spends days knitting creative collaborations and pondering the afterlife.
I enjoy learning, trying new things, trying new places, trying new food, and trying new people, errr, that didn't sound right. I enjoy the outdoors, skiing, rock-climbing (and tree climbing of course), water sports, camping, all genres of movies, and using Google to find and download the latest software hacks online. =) Oh yeah, and impromptu road trips...with great company of course. I love playing just about any kind of sport, particularly running, tennis, and basketball. Other interests include social/networking/happy hour events, Korean BBQ, Pho, and seafood...ok, then again why stop at seafood -- I love eating period actually.
Born in MO, grew up in PA. Awesome childhood, lots of tree climbing and knee scraping. Amazing college experience, lots of personal development and more knee scraping. Moved to CO and loving my life, and my knees are currently unscathed.
Born and raised in Olympia, Washington - combination of a tree climbing Tom-boy and a dance recital girly girl. Travelled, went to college, moved to New York. Pursued my dream of acting on broadway...mission accomplished. Began developing new dreams. Living those new dreams bi-coastally, making family, friends, happiness and health my priorities.
When I was three, I'd climb onto the space ship (willow tree) in my front yard, blast off and land on the moon (the dog house). I dreamt often, read voraciously, studied when I had to, traveled when I could and eventually orchestrated a proper escape from the bubble of Skaneateles, NY to Washington, DC where I attended the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. I fell in love with New York City after stopping over to see Radiohead at Liberty State Park in 2001 on my way back from Paris; following three years of increaingly frequent visits, I put whatever i couldn't carry in storage and hopped on a train with only vaguest notion of what I'd do when I arrived. I didn't know then that I'd become the overworked, underpaid associate producer for a documentary film (that premiered at Sundance in 2007) or learn to surf or "win" an affordable rent-stabalized apartment though a city lottery or still be in NYC nearly 6 years later, even after the infatuation faded. Although I'm still working big picture, I've collected an assortment interesting pieces and feel close to fitting them together in a coherent way; in the meantime, I have enough work to keep me more than busy (and pay the bills) yet enough flexiblity to make time to do the things I want to do - not a bad position to be in.
