The short version: Tea. (In the interest of time, feel free to skip forward) The long version: Classical music, lots of other music, European art (especially Italian Renaissance), Japanese culture, cognitive psychology, education & pedagogy, theatre, opera, world travel, NYC, London, Italy, my 3 guitars, sailing, cross-country skiing (dowhnill less so), Ballroom dancing (competitive & social), long-distance cycling (no longer), teaching all sorts of people how computers work, technology, business, strategy, investing, choral & a cappella singing, or singing in various languages I don't know, jamming with people, home-made mojitos, dirty martinis, Campari, cognac, various cheeses, English afternoon tea, the Japanese tea ceremony, and just tea in general. (I offered to skip forward, now didn't I?) These have been my loves over time, with various degrees of attention given to each. However, I am much more single-minded when it comes to female companionship!
I am a high energy, happy, fun, accomplished person who works at getting the most from life and surrounding myself with people that enhance that philosophy. I have a successful commercial real estate brokerage business that I have spend many years building and I although I find it very fulfilling, I also enjoy spending time with friends and family and pursuing my many hobbies including travel, golf, photography and socializing, exercise, music, theatre, etc. I was happily married for many years, having met my husband when I was 18 until I became a widow four years ago. I know what it takes to create a very successful relationship starting with both physical attraction and friendship first. Next....The Adventure Continues
I am originally from the Midwest. I've traveled to some cool places in the world before I saw parts of the Unites States when I was younger. My parents have been a huge influence on my artistic lifestyle. They were into the visual arts, but I love the performing arts. Funny thing about how plans work out, I now doing a lot more producing than theatre. I also enjoy teaching and trying new things that have absolutely nothing to do with art to balance my creative work.
I did a lot of theatre in high school and college, and I secretly want to be a soap opera star. I just do melodramatic so well.
all sorts of strange theatre stuff, lots of medical knowledge (mostly from er and my doctor grandfather) and all of the random stuff you pick up working in the film industry.
I'd bring my unicycle. Yes, I own and can ride a unicycle. I'm not very good, but I learned because we were doing a show about the Hartford Circus Fire as my theatre troupe's competition piece my senior year. As a graduation present, my parents bought me a unicycle.
I was terribly, awfully, extremely shy growing up. Then I discovered forensics (speech and debate) and theatre in high school and grew a backbone. I recently found out I really enjoy web design and want to know more about it. I moved to the city for school and absolutely love the friends I've made and the freedom I've had.
Mainly theatre, film, and/or pop culture related. Example. You know how some people pronounce the word ask like the word ax? Most people assume that's a recent development stemming from poor grammar. It actually comes from theatre posters in the mid 19th century. Also, pop singer Christina Milian has played a cheerleader in three different movies.
Themselves. None of this straight acting assimilationist junk. Let's watch avant-garde theatre and get covered in glitter and then go watch football and drink beer without putting a label on it other than Most Awesome Day Ever.
Grew up in the south... Loved acting, music and theatre since very young-- still do and pursue them with passion. Spirituality is a huge part of my world-- have been to India twice to study meditation and music. Family and friends are very important to me. I love Nature and natural beauty-- been to Hawaii a few times and love it.
