College in London,I lived in Plattsburgh, out here for grad school. Already I miss the smell of cedar bark and damp ferns -- I also miss micro-brews, mmm. I love to travel; last year I applied to grad school, quit my job, and embarked on a four-month trip through South America cos that's where i was born. I like to try new things -- when I moved here I made myself a rule: for the first month, I would accept any invitation extended. This led to fun like pumpkin-picking, a Scissor Sisters concert, and a play about the invention of vibrators during Victorian times.
cartography, photography, baking, cooking in general, breakfast in bed and also for dinner, the ocean, urban exploring, design, typography, folk music, bluegrass, jazz, trader joes wine and deep conversation, Pablo Neruda, building things, fire (explosions?), flowingdata.com, biking, pumpkin picking, udon, singing in and out of key (loudly), being almost perpetually charmed by Brooklyn and fascinated by people in general....
In the Summer, is absolutely at the beach, I like to go closer to the time it closes, don't have to fight as hard for beach space. In the Fall/ Winter: I enjoy museums (DC is always free) I love Apple orchards and pumpkin picking, has always been such a "fall" thing to do.
Pumpkin picking in ct
An autumn Sunday spent pumpkin picking and enjoying the scenery followed by football and then dinner by the fireside.
Let's start with having the day off! Perhaps sleeping past 7am? Gradually, and calmly waking before my 2 goober boys. Making a savory, nutritious breakfast. Enjoying said breakfast with said goober boys. Hitting the town for a day of museums, if there's inclement weather, or enjoying something seasonal, such as spending the day at a farm and pumpkin picking.
Stuart's farm in Westchester, New York. I love to go apple/pumpkin picking in the fall!
Sleeping in until at least 10, maybe going to church, going pumpkin or apple picking if it's in season, and then just relaxing with my significant other, friends, and/or family.
Dwight Yoakam with my dad... but the first one I picked was Smashing Pumpkins, which I also went to with my dad, haha.
During the summer- any perfect day includes the beach. The rest of the year, a perfect Sunday would include taking a drive (maybe doing something seasonal like apple picking, getting pumpkins, Christmas stuff, wine tasting) and dinner out or home-cooked (sometimes with the family/sometimes by ourselves).
