I’m at a really interesting point in my life right now because I just started nursing school. Despite having a great job at the moment, I know I could be doing a lot more to intellectually stimulate myself and have a more fulfilling purpose in life. I’ve also seen first-hand the way nurses can make people feel safe and secure in really trying times, and want to be able to help people like that. Whether it’s painting or knitting, or even doing a little computer animation, I have always been very artistic and enjoyed creating something out of nothing. Parties and big crowds aren’t my thing; I much prefer a more laid back, social atmosphere with some close friends or even spending some quiet time at home relaxing. When the weather is nice, I like going to Bolton Lake for a nice picnic or a refreshing swim. The beach is also a great way to spend time! My taste in movies leans towards action films with an air of intrigue, like the Bourne movies. I enjoy quiet cafes, poetry slams, and eating out, usually at vegetarian or ethnic places. There’s a really good Turkish place in Westhaven that I like to visit once in a while.
sleeping in, reading, lunch. Later we could walk around the city, sit on a park bench and talk. At night, we could go out -- see a poetry slam or burlesque show, maybe.
Brunch, Lincoln Park, reading/writing, poetry slam at Green Mill, late night tacos at Fiesta Americana

27 years old. From Los Angeles, California. Graduating from law school next year. Living in Washington DC for the summer to work at the DEA's Office of Chief Counsel. Looking to meet someone fun who can show me what DC has to offer! I live a healthy, active and rather eclectic lifestyle. I love SPORTS - Lakers, 49ers, Dodgers! I enjoy the thrill of the OUTDOORS and the beauty of NATURE - hike, camp, surf, snowboard, mud runs, skydive, bungee jump, etc. I'll do anything! I relish the energy and vibrance of the NIGHTLIFE - classy lounge or a local dive bar. So long as there is lots of alcohol and good company! I appreciate the substantive creativity of the ARTS - museums, art shows, poetry slams, Broadway (Wicked is my favorite!) I love to DANCE! I listen to all genres of MUSIC. However, I really appreciate the classic stuff - The Beatles, Sinatra, Dusty Springfield. I love FOOD. I'll eat anything. You don't even have to tell me what it is. I live to TRAVEL and experience new CULTURES and ADVENTURES. It's unbelievable the perspective you gain when you realize how big the world is. I lived in Italy and celebrated their World Cup by dancing in the Trevi Fountain (Yes, I jumped in!) I went sky-diving over the Swiss Alps. I fished in a canoe w/ the locals in the Philippines. I rode a wild donkey bareback along the beaches of Mexico. My dream is to lose myself in a new country every year for the rest of my life! I consider myself a fairly CIVIC-MINDED, TOLERANT and PROGRESSIVE individual. I value the power of human connections. I spent 5 years volunteering for a medical camp for children w/ chronic and life-threatening diseases (The Painted Turtle Camp). I aim to pursue a career in public service. I want to work for the federal government in some legal, criminal, international or political capacity.
