a professional dancer (not sure what type - ballet, jazz, or on broadway)
A New Yorker with a passion for music, eating, design and anything funny. I write a humor blog, and am known for my poignant stick figure drawings. I'm probably the few Australian citizens you'll ever meet without an accent. A few of my favorite things: my nieces and nephews, mix tapes, Spotify, my iphone, Coney Island, bulldogs, good puns, bad puns, my job, karaoke, Cut Copy, Levain cookies, live jazz, Central Park.
a dancer. I danced ballet, jazz and modern all through high school and college, but stopped once I started working on Wall St.
First Concert - BIlly Joel; Best Concerts - U2 at MSG or Eddie Palmieri and his band at Jazz at Lincoln Center; Dream Concert - I would have loved to see Van Halen or The Police in their heyday; I just love seeing live music in general, no matter what genre it is
I'm originally from Bumblefuck, Louisiana and have been in New York close to six years. I write freelance and am an editor at AOL, and travel quite a bit (I will have been to 10 countries by the end of this year). I love dance (ballet, modern, jazz, funk, tap - you name it) and I have an absurd knowledge of the history of modern dance. I scored - and I'm really proud of this one - a 100 average in my dance history class in college. Other than that, I like comic books, sitcoms, improv and coffee.
I like live music a lot. I have started to gravitate towards Jazz, but I also like James Taylor a lot. I don't think I'd want to see him in concert. It would be a bit too boring I think.
going way back a Beethoven recital / dream concert right now Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye, Wes Montgomery, John Prine, Mickey Newbury, Esther Phillips, Townes Van Zandt, The Band, Beach Boys, Beatles, Velvet Underground, Television, John Martyn, The Replacements, Bembeya Jazz National, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Elvis Costello, Slowdive - newer artists The Radio Dept., Cotton Jones, Cass McCombs, Band of Horses, Aloe Blacc, Beach House, Wilco, Destroyer, Gary Clark Jr, Girls, Alabama Shakes, Elbow, Sigur Ros..I guess that's a lot of dreams now...And Louis CK
Dream concert would have to be all my favorite jazz singers from the 20th century: Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Peggie Lee...
My first concert was the Ramones, and my dream concert would maybe be Billie Holiday, in a tiny basement jazz bar.
Staten Island boy, nothing like those terrible TV shows. have been trained as a Jazz electric bass player that plays all styles of music. Received a BS in civil engineering from University at Buffalo. Was a beach lifeguard for NYC beaches and currently I manage constructions sites as a resident engineer.
