How about we… meet up at Panera Bread for bagels / coffee before work.
How about we… eat with our hands/bread at Etete, an Ethiopian restaurant at 9th and U.
How about we… feed the swans stale bread, listen live to music and sip mimosas at the farmer's market, then I'll cook dinner.

In Zhongdian (a.k.a. Shangri-La), China, my sister and I were riding around on a scooter in the middle of nowhere and got hungry so we stopped in this Tibetan village and asked if there was anywhere to eat. No such luck, but the villager pointed us to a house. The woman of the household invited us in and we spent the afternoon drinking butter tea (more like forcing it down our throats - I don't recommend it), eating some kind of delicious bread that she made and trying to communicate with her. We deduced that she was married, had no children, and was younger than me. It was awesome, except for feeling sick all day after having drank, like, a stick of butter each.
Grew up in NYC (with a small early stint in FL). Still love exploring and discovering all this city has to offer. I love everything which kind of makes me an art-o-holic... cause you know: movies, music, art, dancing and of course food. I work in Digital Media by day and am studying to be a pastry chef by night. Yes. I do savory and breads but there is a lot of chocolate in my life.

I like to think that common sense is obscure and that I possess it, but I'm not arrogant enough to provide any guarantees...I watch PBS and The History Channel a lot, so I know all sorts of useless and obscure things...I know how to make bread without using flour and can make amazing turkey...I can also make what friends say are amazing cocktails (But they may just be humoring me)...
