Web Developer

We’re building a team of expert software developers to help define and build our backlog of features. Our backlog includes projects involving native mobile development, API development, social media integration, recommendation algorithm implementation etc. We’re looking for developers with hands on experience using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and iOS and Android development experience.

You’re an experienced engineer seeking a key role on an agile team that is building an exciting product in a rapidly growing start-up. The right candidate has:

• Several years experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of web standards and modern client-side engineering using JavaScript, SCSS, HAML, Compass, CoffeScript, et al.
• Production experience with client-side MVC frameworks such as Backbone.js, Sammy.js, or Sproutcore and libraries such as jQuery, zepto.js and Prototype
• Experience working with Adobe Photoshop to prepare assets
• Experience working with mobile platforms such as iOS and Android is a plus
• Web and/or print design background is a plus
