In addition to our core singles product, we are currently focused on creating the world’s most innovative mobile/tablet dating applications and a new site focused on helping couples discover and buy amazing date experiences.
Our engineering team is small, smart, and fast. We value and support: independent thinking, agility, testing, pair-coding, analytics-driven UX design, constant deployment, and tight feedback loops. We are mobile-focused and foresee that within 2 years well over 50% of our traffic will be mobile.
Who We’re Looking For
You are an experienced iOS developer who wants to join us in building a suite of large consumer-facing dating products that are transforming the way people find love online and offline. Our #1 new featured iOS App is in rapid feature development; simultaneously we are creating what will be the most innovative iPad dating experience ever. You are excited to make this happen.
As a smart, creative, and independent thinker, you want to have a large impact on our products. Your contributions will span the entire product lifecycle from weighing in on design to anchoring rapid agile feature development to maintaining operations environments.
Our products are extremely client-side intensive and requires the right mixture of design eye and engineering expertise.
People want you on their project because they know it will increase its chances of success. You’re driven to excel, have previous start-up experience and are engaged with local development / start-up communities.
The ideal candidate has:
- 1+ years experience building native iOS applications.
- Strong Objective C background.
- Existing Apps in the Apple AppStore.
- Experience working with RESTful JSON APIs.
It's a plus if you have:
- Strong understanding of web standards and modern client-side engineering using JavaScript, SCSS, HAML, Compass, CoffeScript, et al.
- Experience working with other mobile platforms such as iOS, RIM, Windows 7, Symbian, etc.
- Ruby on Rails experience
- Experience working with Adobe Photoshop to prepare assets
- Web and/or print design background

This position is for full-time employment on-site in our office in DUMBO. We will support relocation for the right candidates.
