I know that President Obama and FLOTUS Michelle are getting a hard time because they didn’t kiss immediately the first time they were featured on the Kiss Cam last night when they were courtside at the Team USA men’s basketball warm-ups for the London Olympics at the Verizon Center. (The crowd booed.)

But let’s be honest. Finding yourself on the Kiss Cam is an alarming experience if you’re not expecting it. You have a split second to register what is going on, (I mean, technically The Kiss Cam is not a  normal thing — let’s not pretend it is) and sync up with your partner, and then go in for the smooch.

Let’s focus on the positive: they got it right the second time around, when they were re-featured late in the second half. And the results are adorable. The crowd erupted in cheers and chanted, “Four more years.”
