Meet sooner rather than later.
2
Make it a real date.
“Hanging out” isn’t how you establish a true romantic relationship. Take some time and plan things out but make it casual and cool. Asking for a dinner date or meeting your rowdy friends could potentially be a bad move when you haven’t established a feel for your internet crush. Make it a place where you can sit and talk and get to know each other before breaking out the big guns. Save that for if the date goes in your favor.3
Remember your manners.
4
Keep the bad behavior to a minimum.
Okay, so the internet has this amazing quality of warping people views of others. If your date shows up looking different than in their profile picture or it turns out they aren’t your cup of tea, be polite instead of rude and surprised that the date is going sour. Don’t get wasted and act like a fool. If you kick yourself to the curb before the date even starts and they turn out to be Mr./Mrs. Right, you’ll be kicking yourself instead. Because hey, you never know. The internet works in mysterious ways.5
Have a stable of good stories
Keep them interested! Dating is kind of like interviewing for a job and having a smooth artilary of witty anecdotes will get you farther than you thinkg. Dont’ keep asking questions like a ping-pong match but instead try and have a smooth flow of back and forth banter without trying to go through what they listed on their profile like a check list. And, try to keep anything super-personal out of the conversation. Your thumb-sucking affliction can wait until the 3rd date.Check out the rest of the tips on Buzzfeed!
