Apparently all you have to do to attract this service is station your tired carcass (and that of a potential lover) on a stone bench somewhere in Central Park. The rest will take care of itself.

No, I’m only kidding. As was internet comedy team Improv Everywhere when they unhatched this charade on an unwitting couple recently.

After determining that the languorous couple probably won’t be mobilizing any time soon, the jokesters spring into action, laying out a spread of hors d’oeuvres and bubbly for their confused victims. Soon to follow is the night’s entertainment: no less than a four-piece wind ensemble comprised of regular Carnegie Hall performers. Taken aback at first, the couple warms quickly to their impromptu date, applauding with smiles and aplomb by the time the last note peals out.

Can you say “How About We … Get Serenaded in Central Park While Noshing Finger Food on Someone Else’s Bill?”
