New Yorkers — if you thought your city was the most expensive place to date in the universe, you were wrong. Business Insider has calculated what a cheap date costs all around the world. (Their definition of a ”cheap date” includes sending a standard bouquet of roses, cab rides, soft drink, two movie tickets, and a couple of beers. I would say skip the roses and up the beers. But let’s go with it!)

- Tokyo ($234.77)
- Sydney ($216.22)
- London ($207.01)
The cheapest were:
- New Delhi ($86.40)
- Mumbai ($87.19)
- Singapore ($137.66)
New York City was somewhere in between. ($183.01)
