Let’s Talk About the Things You’re Doing “Right” As a Single Person. I’ll Start.
by Chiara Atik on March 09, 2011
Dating blogs (probably ours included — sorry guys) spend a lot of time writing about what you’re doing WRONG as a single person — you’re too pushy, you’re too controlling, you’re too judgmental, you’re too shy, you look in all the wrong places. Here’s a question: what are you doing right?
The Frisky’s “Dater X” wrote a list today of all the things she did right as a single person (she’s now in a relationship). So, what do *I* do right as a single person? Uhhhh…..
Chiara: hey, weird question, what do I do right as a single person?
Emily: well….you….write for a dating blog?
Chiara: that’s it?
Emily: you don’t hate your non-single friends?
Great.
I think I’ll definitely spend some time this afternoon thinking about the ways I’m GOOD at being single — (oh! I don’t constantly whine to my friends about why I don’t have a boyfriend. There! Thought of one.) — and I’ll use The Frisky’s list as inspiration.
Because if we aren’t good at being single, there’s a greater chance of being badly single forever. [The Frisky]
