With a couple gallons of red food coloring and a lot of sweetness, HowAboutWe celebrated Valentine’s Day early in Boston with paper hearts and zany confections galore.

From coaster-sized pecan-topped macarons to red velvet cake batter ice cream to red velvet fried chicken (holla!), ten local chefs and 100 sweet tooths rose (get it? rose?) funds for non-profit food rescue Lovin’ Spoonfuls. Super thanks to all the participating chefs for their generosity and to our hosting venue, Flour Bakery + Cafe. There was much love (or was that mini-cupcakes?) to go around.

Curious about smoked vanilla chipotle-chocolate red velvet cake and how cute two people eating ice cream cones can be? (Hint: A lot.)
