As demonstrated in our Break the Dating Rules Contest, some dating rules are clearly made to be broken – don’t eat with your hands, don’t be cheap, and don’t be competitive. But what about public transportation on a date? Yay or nay?

We turned to a biased but knowledgeable source – Muni Diaries – to share some dates accessible by Muni that will help you demonstrate your urban cred.

How about we… hit up the SFMOMA, then walk over to Zero Zero for their excellent pizza and very respectable Folsom Street Sour.
Pro tip: The SFMOMA is half-off Jan. 31 to Feb. 24, and is open late on Thursday evenings. Take the 5, 9, 14, 30, 38, 45, J, KT, L, M, N to SFMOMA. This week you can catch the Henri Cartier-Bresson or the screening of “Voyeurism and Early Cinema.”

How about we… take the F-Market to Pier 39 for Trish’s Mini Donuts, digest with a walk on along the Embarcadero, and taste chocolates at TCHO.

How about we… take the 5, 31, 18, or N to Ocean Beach, have brunch at the Beach Chalet, walk back up through the park, and rent paddle boats at Stow Lake.

How about we… do a SF Bookstore Muni tour by taking the 1, 2, or 38 to Green Apple Books, having lunch at Burma SuperStar, then taking 1-California all the way downtown, walking through North Beach to City Lights Bookstore, and ending our trip upstairs at Vesuvio to talk over our finds.
