Just because someone is out to themselves and their romantic partners, doesn’t mean they’re also out to their family and friends. There are a myriad of reasons a person might choose to keep their sexual preference hidden — or at least, not openly discussed — with major players in their lives. Of course, if you happen to be dating someone who’s only sort of out, things can get a little tricky. How do you deal with Facebook settings, nights out together, and, worst of all, weekends with the parents, when one person isn’t comfortable being open with their sexuality?
